
Richard's Background:
I am a dedicated fitness enthusiast with a diverse background in sports including soccer, swimming, cricket, and volleyball. However, in 2014 I discovered CrossFit and immediately fell in love with the sport. Since then, I have accumulated an impressive list of certifications, including CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1 Trainer), CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Olympic Lifting Certified, NCCP Olympic Club Level Coach, and First Aid, CPR and AED certified.
I have also gained valuable experience through numerous individual and team CrossFit competitions, as well as participating in the Provincial Olympic Lifting Qualifier. Furthermore, I am currently pursuing the Opex CCP certification to enhance my knowledge and skills even further.
In 2015, I found my calling as a coach and since then have dedicated myself to helping others achieve their fitness and health goals. In 2019, I founded One United People CrossFit, where I aim to share my passion and expertise with others. I firmly believe that fitness is an essential component of a healthy and fulfilling life, and I am committed to empowering others to reach their full potential through personalized coaching and support.

Carmen's Background:
As a dedicated fitness and nutrition professional, I’m here to help you unlock a healthier, more vibrant version of yourself. With a range of certifications and years of experience, I’m equipped to guide clients from all backgrounds and fitness levels, creating personalized plans that fit your unique goals and lifestyle. My approach is rooted in both science and real-life experience, helping you build sustainable habits that last.
As a mom, I understand firsthand what it takes to navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the process of reconnecting with your body. I provide guidance through every stage, including nutrition during pregnancy, safe and effective training, and a gradual return to exercise. I also support pelvic floor awareness and recovery, helping you rebuild strength, confidence, and connection with your body at your own pace.
With a focus on long-term success, I’m committed to giving you the tools, guidance, and support you need to make lasting changes and lead an active, fulfilling life. Whether you’re working on your nutrition, improving your performance, or rebuilding after pregnancy, I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.

Michael's Background:
A competition enthusiast, I have always been passionate about sports and fitness! From a very young age, I have been involved in playing competitive baseball and basketball and have grown to love all types of activities such as running my first half marathon in 2019 and playing recreational football!
Since trying my first Crossfit class in 2020, I immediately became immersed, and maybe obsessed in the sport and how it challenges my fitness and personal growth. In 2023, I decided to embark on a new challenge and have dedicated myself to coaching and supporting members within our 1UP community. I strive to bring enthusiasm, positivity, and energy to the classes I coach.
I am committed to helping everyone pursue their own fitness goals whether that is through competing or working on the basics, while also making sure to not forget to always celebrate accomplishments big and small while always having fun throughout the journey! Adam's Background:

Along with coaching, I bring competition experience to the table, having competed in over seven events, both as an individual and as part of a team. I know the dedication it takes to train for and excel in competitions, and I use that knowledge to help clients push beyond their limits and find their edge.

Between CrossFit and swimming, I’ve been coaching for over a decade and there is truly nothing I love more. Whether it’s your first day trying out fitness, or you’re an athlete chasing big goals, I’m excited to learn about you and support you on your journey. As both a future ND, and a coach, I’m here to help you learn, grow, and improve all aspects of your health. From the little details of your lifts to the big picture of your diet and lifestyle, it all adds up, so I’m eager to discuss and help with it all.
